Ski Report For Week Ending January 28

BOSTON (CBS) – Skiers get a break from the deep powder conditions they have seen in recent weekends, with just enough new snow from this week to keep it soft, while machine groomed packed powder conditions will make for many fast runs down the hill.

Sugarloaf’s new wooded extension, baptized the “Brackett Basin”, is open, complete with cliff drops and challenging skiing for the explorer in you.

I don’t finish all the books I start. There are several reasons why I do not finish a book and they vary wildly: it could be because the writing is uninspiring or the characters don’t ring true. Or because the world-building is not interesting or lacks inherent logic. I am not above pet peeves either, and sometimes even one little thing will make me put the book away for good. Sometimes I quit a book only after a few pages, sometimes it takes longer. This will be my last regular post at Uptake, as I need to find a way to put all of my life commitments together in a way that does not exceed 20 hours a day. (Selfish of me, I know, but I do protect my 4 hours of sleep.)
