Cee Lo set to ‘Sparkle’

Singer Cee Lo Green will make his big screen acting debut in a planned remake of movie musical , alongside Whitney Houston and Jordin Sparks.

The original 1976 film, about three Harlem, New York-based sisters who form a group in the late 1950s, will get a new look with Sparks as the title character and Houston in a starring role – her first acting job in more than 15 years.

Now Green, who has previously only worked on TV and in animated movies – like the upcoming – has also been tapped for a featured part in the project.

Director Salim Akil will take charge of the film, while R&B icon R.

MICHELLE Keegan showed why she was voted sexiest TV actress for the third year running as she sizzled in a little black dress last night.

The 25-year-old Coronation Street star, who is engaged to Max George from boyband The Wanted, picked up her prize at the Inside Soap awards in London.

But the stars of BBC rival Eastenders were the big winners with five awards, including the coveted Best Soap.

Jessie Wallace, whose off-screen dramas almost matched her character Kat Moons, was not there to collect her Best Actress award.

Show bosses said she was too tired after filming until 6pm.

Coronation Street picked up an Outstanding Achievement award for its tram crash storyline.

Nancy Grace made a vast improvement on “Dancing With The Stars,” but the talk show host told OnTheRedCarpet.com that she wondered if her wardrobe malfunction on Monday’s episode was responsible.

“I looked down, I didn’t see anything. I did not see a wardrobe malfunction,” Grace told OnTheRedCarpet.com special correspondent George Pennacchio of KABC Television after the show, before joking, “Hey, maybe that’s why we got an eight!”

The incident, which was edited out of the west coast broadcast occurred after Grace was dipped in the finale of her dance. Grace’s dance pro Tristan MacManus agreed that he didn’t notice, adding, “I missed it anyway.

In a post released on Facebook this evening, FX has revealed that the season for premiere of Sons of Anarchy had the most viewers of any program the network has ever aired. According to the report, the original broadcast of the episode brought in 6.5 million viewers, and with encore airings the number jumps to 9.5 million.

This means the show has beaten out other television megahits from FX, such as The Shield and Rescue Me, and it’s well deserved, in my humble opinion. When you think back to the slow start the series got off to, and how they picked up the pace to finish the first season and never looked back, this is one of the most consistent shows the network has ever produced.
