Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe said he has given up drinking alcohol after realizing he was partying too hard.

The 21-year-old actor says he began to drink too much while filming “Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince,” the sixth movie in the Harry Potter series, in 2009.

He said; “I became so reliant on [alcohol] to enjoy stuff. There were a few years there when I was just so enamored with the idea of living some sort of famous person’s lifestyle that really isn’t suited to me.”

He added that he decided to cut out drinking altogether, instead of simply cutting down.

“As much as I would love to be a person that goes to parties and has a couple of drinks and has a nice time — that doesn’t work for me. I do that very unsuccessfully,” he said.

“I’d just rather sit at home and read, or go out to dinner with someone, or talk to someone I love, or talk to somebody that makes me laugh.”

Radcliffe was speaking to GQ magazine in an interview released Monday.

The Potter gang will turn up on CNN on Sunday, talking to Larry King for a one-hour special airing at 8 p.m. and repeating at 11 p.m.

The retired talk-show host will chat with Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, Tom Felton, Helena Bonham Carter and Robbie Coltrane and show never-seen footage from “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows — Part 2″ opening at 12:01 a.m. July 15.

Radcliffe says the last day was “very, very emotional … I kind of wept like a child on that last day.”

Responding to a question about how he kept his balance through the worldwide response to the franchise, he said whoever had landed the part would be lavished with attention.

“When you step out of the car at a premiere and you get hit by that wall of noise and screaming,” he says he has to remember the fans could be squealing for somebody else.

“It’s not about me. It’s about the franchise and the character,” and that helps him keep it in perspective and stop from getting “big-headed.”

Radcliffe also tells King he absolutely wants lots of children and has seen how happy fatherhood has made friends. He says he has a girlfriend he’s very much in love with, and “we’ll see where that goes.”

Watson says some little children can be scared of her because they think she really can cast a spell.

“I was so young, it’s difficult to remember much of my life before this thing happened to me,” she says. “I was still losing my baby teeth” while playing Hermione a role that took her from 9 to 21 years old.

Grint, meanwhile, says leaving the franchise behind was a shock. As for the final day, “It had this real kind of weird energy about it. It was kind of like the last day of school.”

He packed up his dressing room, including all the “odd birthday cards and toys” he had collected over the years.

In addition to the conversation, the special will feature James and Oliver Phelps, who play the Weasley twins, taking viewers on a tour of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at the Universal Orlando Resort.

nForget attorney Jose Baez. Forget Casey Anthony. The real star of the neverending legal circus that dominated the holiday weekend is none other than Judge Belvin Perry, who, experts agree, could have a second career waiting for him as a television judge, Popeater.com reports.

“I can certainly see him becoming the next big TV judge,” said attorney Joey Jackson, who has been covering the trial for Fox News.

After months of court proceedings, on Tuesday, Judge Perry confirmed the jury’s verdict that Anthony was not guilty of first degree murder — a verdict that visibly outraged the celebrity Twitter community. But Perry’s shocking ruling, although an unpopular one, may only further catapult him into the celebrity judge world. Guilty or not guilty, Perry stuck to his guns throughout the trial, keeping attorneys in line and holding them accountable, dealing with even the craziest aspects of the case with an even temperament and being patient, yet rigid, in moving the case forward.

“He’s been on the bench since the late ’80s and has presided over several high-profile cases, so his resume is TV cred ready,” explained “Cult of Celebrity” author Cooper Lawrence on the “Scott & Todd” morning show on New York City radio station WPLJ-FM. “But the real draw is that he doesn’t like shenanigans going on in his courtroom, like when he let defense attorney Baez have it with, ‘We’re not stopping anymore for you to get a file!’ “

Lawrence adds that Perry’s hand gestures are already “Saturday Night Live” parody ready. All he needs is a catch-phrase.

“Judge Judy has ‘Don’t pee on my shoes and tell me it’s raining,’ ” Lawrence said. “He could have ‘Let’s get it done!’ “

If he can make it happen, Belvin Perry (a name made for television) could stand to make a fortune in television. Judge Judy Sheindlin, star of “Judge Judy,” is one of the highest paid women on television, making approximately $45 million a year for her half-hour program.

There is nothing ordinary about Lady Gaga, including her workout attire.

The popstar hit yoga studio Pure Yoga in downtown Taipei, Taiwan, over the weekend, and her outfit was anything but subtle. She did her sun salutations sporting a black and gold, glitter and lace one-piece, and even left the studio in her infamous super high heels, Popeater.com reports.

The “Edge of Glory” singer drew quite the crowd outside the studio. Nearly 500 fans waited to catch a glimpse of her exiting the class, holding on to her matching black yoga mat, held closed with a coordinating gold chain.

Lady Gaga is in Taiwan promoting her album “Born This Way,” and as usual she is going about her business with a certain level of flare.

According to Radar Online via Popeater.com, after Maria Shriver officially filed for divorce from her estranged husband, Arnold Schwarzenegger, the “Terminator” reportedly agreed to give his soon-to-be ex-wife a “very generous divorce settlement.”

In accordance with California law, if no prenup exists (which it does not in this case), due to a Community Property statute, all assets obtained during a marriage must be split 50/50. But according to reports, Schwarzenegger is seriously considering giving Shriver more than the state mandated sum.

“Arnold realized he is to blame for the collapse of his marriage,” an inside source told Radar. “Maria was a loving wife and mother, and he doesn’t think that any amount of money can minimize what he has put her through. He wants to do the right thing and go above and beyond what is required of him under the law.”

Shriver formally filed for divorce on Friday and had previously hired investigators to ascertain just how much her husband was worth. Settlement discussions between Shriver and Schwarzenegger’s lawyers have reportedly been under way for more than two months. The former California governor, who fathered a child with the couple’s longtime housekeeper, Mildred Baena, can total his egregious wealth to roughly $500 million-$750 million, the source divulged.

“This is going to be a very amicable divorce, and it won’t be played out in the media,” the source continued. “Neither one of them wants that. Arnold hasn’t lost his mind, he is going to be giving away his fortune to her. He wants to show his children he is taking responsibility for his actions.”

But one thing the couple have already agreed on are their views on how their two minor children — Patrick and Christopher — should be parented. Both Shriver and Schwarzenegger are seeking joint custody.

Miss Brazil was robbed at gunpoint in front of her home.

The Miss Brazil pageant press office says that Debora Lyra was held up as she approached the entrance of her gated condo in Sao Paulo on Sunday, the Associated Press reports.

Monday’s statement says a well-dressed man with a pistol approached Lyra as she pulled up to her condominium. He took her purse, which contained her documents, cell phones and credit cards. He also took the car, which she had been given for winning the 2010 pageant.
